Why did CapitalGroup invest?

This project met several of our key investment criteria.

The investment risk had been minimised through the relationships with RAL and Stray.
The management risk had been significantly improved by the introduction of a new shareholder/manager with proven business skills.

Our initial research (completed at the time of the development financing) showed the National Park region had a significant market comprising 600,000 bed nights per annum and which had suffered from lack of investment in new accommodation. The business model is scalable and we like the macro picture for specialised tourism assets.

Outcome

Now recognised as the best accommodation facility in National Park township. An exciting growth business which continues to thrive under CapitalGroup and its partners' ownership.
